The last two years I have given a class for the Master Food Preservers on 'Home Brewing Beer'. Because of limited time and use of an electric stove, I have done a partial boil (3+ gal.) of a simple extract brew, cooled the wort using chilled water, transferred it into the primary fermenter and pitched the yeast. The handout and my talk gave the recipe, further instructions on secondary fermentation and bottling instructions. I kept the demo and instructions simple to avoid scaring anyone off. Miniscule samples (UC rules) of homebrew were given for tasting. Pati also prepared food dishes using beer and gave out the recipes.

This year a class has been scheduled for Saturday, November 4th. at the AG building in Placerville. (10 AM - 12 Noon I think?)

Unfortunately, I will be unable to give the class this year. Is there anyone in the HAZE club who would be available and willing to present this class in my place?

If anyone is interested in giving the class, please let me know as soon as possible or MFP will have to cancel the class.

Thanks
Bill & Pati K
