[Homebrewers] pub crawl update

Tentatively, I'm planning to go (unless Pati has something else planned). We could start at River City and work our way home. Just an idea.

I think I'd go hungry rather than eat ANYTHING at Hoppy and I'm not too sure about the beer either! I saw an article in the Bee about them being closed down.

I'll probably be celebrating my acing the Saturday BJCP exam or commiserating my failure to answer even the most basic questions due to brain fade.

Since we can't get on light rail till 10 I think breakfast after 11 at Rubicon might not work for me J. I'd probably just eat before. The menu looks good tho.

Sac County Food inspector's report card for Hoppy's:

  And for Rubicon:

I think I'll take my chances for breakfast at Rubicon. Here's the menu...

(I'm going for the brewmaster's breakfast... mmmmm, mm)

The beer should still be safe (and good) at Hoppy's... ;)

  Hi all,

I know this is kinda soon after sending out the first email but really I sent the first email yesterday with the wrong account so none of you saw it and now it's sort of the next day so here goes.

There has been a huge response to the crawl. We're nearing a 50% increase in turnout over the last LRPC (pronounced lerpk for any government types needing an acronym).

Light rail starts running at 10AM in Folsom on Sundays. The first group will be catching the first train which will deposit us at 65th at 10:33.

The following is the important part. Bear with me here.

Say for instance you're at a company holiday pub crawl and you plop down at River City after a day of drinking beer and someone orders shots. And then beers and then another shot. Oh, and another beer. Things are going just great until you and your group gets to Sunrise and some comedian with a mic says something sounding like "last stop". There's more to the story involving a pest control Christmas party at the hotel across the street but basically if we don't make the 6:28 train from downtown we will have a longer than desired walk from Sunrise to Folsom.

  Glen
