Forwarding on this critical message from Mike. Apparently the email gods
have frowned on the use of a mobilberry. I’m guessing it has something to do
with his reference to the mirror.

I don’t get whey the shirt email went no prob and this one’s hung up.
Here’s the message:

Ok folks, the campout is just a few weeks away and there be some details you
all should know about:

Date: Friday August 17 – Sunday August 18

Where: Sly Park (Jenkinson) Lake, Group site #3

Cost: $20 per person/family; if day tripping only, $10.00/day (please
let us know if you plan to do this, we only get so many cars for free)

Now the fun stuff
.

Friday: Dinner on your own

Saturday: Breakfast and lunch on your own

Saturday Night:

Dinner. Last year we did a themed dinner that folks really
liked. This year’s a little different. We’re doing a potluck by last name
(A-H bring salad, I-P bring sides, Q-Z (and those who aren’t sure) bring
desserts. Entrée’s are on your own. But try and pare beer, homebrew or
commercial, with whatever community food (or entrée if you are so inclined)
you’re bringing. For example, brownies and Russian Imperial Stout. I will
post some paring suggestions in a later email. If you have any, feel free
to offer up. This should be fun.

Auction: After dinner we’ll host the annual auction of cool
stuff, beerphanelia, homebrew equipment, and perhaps another pub mirror!!
We’ve got good stuff, but we need more. Also, bring your checkbook or cash
(although we probably take IOUs for 30 day net, otherwise we release
Guido!).

HPS: Hazed Palate Society! To help you forget how much you
spent at the auction, plan to enjoy the rest of the evening (and maybe the
wee hours of the morning!) around the campfire (unless it’s still 100
degrees out!) with old, big, unknown or downright strange beers. A magnum
of oaked bastard or double bastard is slated to make an appearance.

Sunday Morning:

Breakfast: The men of HAZE begin drinking early and then whip
out their spatulas in the morning sunshine to cook up an excellent
breakfast!

If you have any camp stoves, griddle or frying pans, etc., bring ‘em!
Don’t forget ice and mosquito repellent. Meat bees will also likely be
partying with us!

If you have any questions shoot me an email. If it’s not too much trouble,
an email confirming your planned attendance would be helpful.

See ya there!

Michael Frenn
