Did you mix the wort before taking a gravity reading?
  We measured 1.056 out of the counter flow chiller last night.
  Anyone else take a SG reading?

Well I would like to thank Steve Seeley for commanding the Big Brew system for the day. I think we can consider it a snow brew Kolsch because some snow did make it's way into the top of the brew kettles!  I want to thank everyone who showed up , and brought goodies, I think it was a successful brew day!  My Budvar is fermenting away as I write.

P.S. The snow tapered off and turned to slush for most of the evening and we have less snow now than at the end of the brew.
